Starting a family in the late morning with supplies to Briançon Gap in the great granny

The roads are not very good you drive slowly and well equipped. I would learn after the weekend that some riders could not go there because of bad weather (Catherine Dubois, Céline Lafaye for example).

We arrive at the scene at 15h time to recover my number to congratulate Julien Rancon I meet during his footing and we leave the hotel experience

I later found Lexel and Pascal who still put 4 hours from the Alpes Maritimes to come in the snow! We gossiped equipment ( Yaktrax , Kalenji ...), make the sale at New Balance 's partner Trail (a cap for my part => convenient for the White Trail it seems). We go by appointment Sunday morning for the race.

I go to the Hotel starts the spa bath, as it's going to be good tomorrow after a few hours frolicking in the forest ...

The evening menu is Tartiflette white wine will hop ... everything not to do and then I m guzzler. on holiday!

Sunday, January 10, 2010:

I did well to make me a Tartiflette last night I have energy to spare despite the very early morning wake up my little toe and taking the bottle (I think many of you know this so I will not complain).

The weather is cool, it's snowing lightly but no wind, that's something to win

Equipment side, I wear two layers ( Mizuno Breath Thermo Odlo and polar) with a windbreaker in the camelback. For a low tack, my Q uechua Diosaz raid 700 with mini-gaiters of the same brand and the famous Yaktrax.

I arrive on the scene at 7:30 crosses Olivier, a rider on the stage Bachelard (Grenoble) I meet a few times, got away by lucky Julien Chorier no less!

So this is me, the nice guy he won the Grand Raid de la Reunion this year ... no less! I congratulate him on his victory, must be said that made ​​me dream of paradise islands since I saw the story on Inside Sports .

The pace slowed down so badly on the first climb of the day. To hear many riders did the White Trail rarely run so smoothly. Proof with the winner gets more than 28 'higher than last year!

The return is disheartening, it's hard, the snow is still packed and is more monotonous.

We follow a track background really boring, the highway that goes back to the Lautaret is very close ... blah here as there are better sets ...

au TTN c'est déjà bien non ? In the end, I will conclude by 4:01, fully satisfied with my 95th place of 390 entrants at TTN is already right?

I was within a stroke within the first 100 of the French National Trail Tour (short version Trail) 2010 = That slap but then I have a few more weeks to brag about it after the next test I would but to keep quiet.

The post-race meal and soup are well deserved because I am full bulk. I would find that eventually Lexel and Pascal in 5:18 (see story Lexel )

Go back to the hotel, champagne, tartiflette, white wine, bubble bath and sleep ...

• Do not expect to run 15 km \ h on this type of terrain: The 10th turned into 10km \ h!
