Up 7am, after only 5 hours of sleep (night before the wedding but sober) hard not to succumb to the call of our bed where my little woman sleeping peacefully with our future baby warm under the duvet!

I have lunch soon and take the road not to miss the start of the 40km which I was involved (I preferred to be more reasonable).

I arrive on the scene at 8:00, I still have 30 minutes before departure of the great journey. They will be 8 to spring ...

Yes, we are 1 hour from Grenoble and Gap 45min ago a couple of trails planned for the same date. Trail of the Hamlets is only in its second year ... enough said!

Yet the runners do not know what they're missing. Everything here is in point: A good organization with a large number of volunteers, two courses with views of the beautiful Obiou, ravitos of well placed, very well received ... many come short next year!

I decided to prepare myself with 40 Bornard. Just one of my shoes Salomon XT Wings, I break a shoelace! Oslo, I have thought of you that morning ... Kick bowl, the Manager of Endurance Shop Echirolles (Grenoble suburb) is here and offers me to go home to change on Monday!

We are at about 900m above sea level and we must now climb to the Col de Holme the first challenge of the morning:

I still leads but the second rider to change, it is a V2 that does not pay but mine running at their own pace suggesting that caution under the foot ...

I continue to climb, head to the grindstone ... I arrive at the top happy but the feeling of not having done enough in advance, the descent is not my forte and there you will have to slide down in 600D + 10km of ... How many seconds to lose ... see minutes!

Not failed, just 2km down the V2 caught up with me, then a V1 ... I am unmotivated and impossible to hold, I fatigue (lack of sleep) while the third ... well I managed my race begins ...

A new climb I try to catch them, they are already too far ... there is 4km and I see the second senior to me will eventually double to 2km ... the loose!

I finished fourth in the scratch and the second Senior happy with the ranking but disappointed with my run ... FYI, the first ends by 1:42, I finished 4 'later in 1:46' ... that's a lot for a descent!

• Interest of the course: 7.5/10 (Beautiful view of the Obiou, one complaint for a trail 800 D + is a fair bit, see a good bump to add at the end of course ... but it's too long downhill personal )
  

• Difficulty: 5 / 10 (no particular difficulty, very fast)
  

• Organization: 10/10 (home, start / finish, lighting, supplies ... no problem)
  

• Price: 7.5/10 (€ 15 with a t-shirt ... leaving only the XL damage. Think maybe a t-shirt art kit to add 3 or 4 € on registration)

• Overall rating: 7.5/10 (I would for sure)
